OIL IN WATER, WATER IN OIL NO MATER WITCH ONE YOU WILL HAVE A CYLINDER HEAD GASKET THAT IS BLOWEN SO BEST IS GO TO THE PEUGEOT DEALER IF CAR UNDER FACTORY GAREENTEE, IF NOT GO TO VEREY GOOD REPAIRER AS IT IS A FUSSY CAR TO WORK ON. TO BE 100% SURE HAVE THEM DO A PRESSURE TEST AND YOU CAN CHECH THE OIL SUMP AS WELL BY PULLING OUT THE DIP STICK OR DRAIN THE OIL TO SEE IF THERE IS WATER MIXED WITH OIL (WILL BE CREAM IN COLUR). The oil or dipstick will be cream in colour. If there is oil in the water you will have water in the oil. Still lucky you came thus far and she is still running if you lucky it will cast u a Cylinder head gasket and 2.0 to 4.5 hours labour to fit at a Peugeot dealer and less at a good repairer. This can as well be a failure from over revving the car thus a valve hit the block (called a valve bounce) layman terms dropped valve. And cracked the block at or on one of the water channels that run in the block (this is a small tunnel that the water runs in to cool the engine. The wall between the piston cylinder and water channel is thin +- 5 to 10mm. this wall may and can crack some times when a valve knocks it. The crack most of the time can not be seen with the eye if engine striped but with the amount of pressure that is in the engine with hot water oil and steam it is like Niagara falls in this enviable crack. But if this is the case you will not be abele start or run the engine 95% of the time. It will be the gasket that decided to go on retirement :-) blown

Hi
It sounds very much as though your head gasket has failed or the head is damaged.
I will say, however, that if your vehicle has a water cooled oil cooler then the O ring could have gone, and seeing as how oil pressure is higher than water pressure, the oil would be forced past the O ring into the coolant.
I have to say though that it does sound as though you have a head gasket problem.
If your vehicle is a 406 HDi then the cost of a head gasket repair is astronomical.
Sorry to be the bearer of bad news.
Best of luck!

Sounds as though your head gasket has gone.
Normal signs of a blown head gasket are either oil in the water/coolant or vice versa.
Suggest you get it checked out asap, not going to be cheap as you have a turbo attached if it is the head gasket :-(

Stop the guessing game right now and take it to a mechanic who will tell you exactly what is wrong. If you don't it may become terminal.
Whatever else it sounds like it's going to be expensive.

yeah head gasket gone and your head is maybe cracked to.
Try to sell the car quick and move to Brazil.
Good luck the move to Brazil may be cheaper than having the car fixed
