My 98 Windstar van is developing some strange quirks. The door switches that controll the interior lights and "door ajar" idiot light on the dash are not reading correct. The doors are completely shut, yet the interior lights remain on and when the drivers door is the "problem" the chime continues ringing alerting that the key is still in the ignition. This is a real annoyance. Is it possible this could be a result of low voltage from the electrical sytsem since the battery is getting old and could be becoming too weak? It still turns over good and starts well. Has anyone else experienced these types of problems due to battery problems?

since these problems all relate to your door... (interior light ..and key chime) the sensor switch on the door is probably bad... not the battery...

There would desire to be any form of motives. purely given which you purely had the examine engine easy for the 02 sensor doesnt recommend new issues couldnt arise. and additionally you may purely think of its the 02 sensor whilst fairly it might desire to be 02 sensors and now a gasoline transport difficulty or undesirable spark plugs. Like I reported it might desire to be something, in case you will get it to start..take it a place like motor vehicle Zone they examine engine codes for loose.
