I asked a question about whether or not I could do it myself, and I know now that I'm going to pay a shop. I've got prices - $50 for a drain, fill, and filter replacement. $120 for a 100% flush. Do I need to spring for the full service at 35k miles?

Do the $50 job every 35k miles, and you'll be good to go. If the tranny fails, it'll be because of the affiliation with being a Chrysler tranny.

a drain and fill and filter change is the best thing to do

a flush will not change the filter - it stays in - they never drop the tranny pan and clean it or the magnet that is in there to catch particles.

having that done is better than a flush and fill

to get the most life out of the transmission i would change it now and wont have to worry about until say 90,000 miles...but yes it is a great investment to get the flush and filter....good luck

Check your owners manual for the recommended mileage that the trans flush should be done before spending the money yet.
