When you put the ignition switch in, you have a paper clip pressing in a tiny hole and you turn the key. Do you turn the key to the right or the left? It didn't come with the directions. Please help, I need to know NOW!!

Was driving along yesterday and the car made a weird noise on accelerating. Checked temp gauge and its on High. Stopped car, let cool for a while and then put water in empty radiator. It started leaking out under the motor somewhere as fast as I was pouring it in. What is the problem?

We disconnected one of the baseboards and the thermostat will shut off when desired temp is reached, however the room is to big for only one baseboard. Are the baseboards wired incorrectly?

Living in the Midwest is brutal. My van stayed parked for two days outside in "0" degree weather. I went out and started it, and it turned over right away.

I went to Church, and after the Service, I tried to start it and it couldn't start. The battery had power. I had a quarter tank of gas with that ISO Heat added to it.

It seemed like it wasn't getting any gas?

PLEASE think this one through, thank you.

while I was stopped at an intersection. After a few swear words, I was able to start it right up again, and I haven't had a problem with it since (this was earlier today and I've driven it a few more times since). It's a 1994 Mercury Topaz, and it's recently had a lot of work done to it, and I haven't ever had this problem with it before. It's got a full tank of gas. It's also really cold out today (-3, with wind chill -18) so I imagine that makes a difference, but my real question is,
Is this something I need to worry about if it just happened once?
Thanks :)

I was replacing my brakes and rotors. We got them on but I didn't siphon brake fluid from the master cylinder first (I never do this, it's it's usually not an issue) so when I pushed in the caliper cylinder on the last brake the master cylinder top blew on the master cylinder and brake fluid leaked out. My question is, did I do something awful? Will I need a new top for my master cylinder? Will I need to bleed the entire brake system now? Or will I still be fine if I just bleed the brakes that I just replaced (I only replaced the front brakes and rotors)

My 02 Envoy's battery had a hard time starting this morning in this nice -14 degree weather. After a few cranks it started up. Just because it had a hard time turning over in this frigid weather, do i technically have a bad battery or is this weather just kicking it's butt? It will set me back $65 to put one in and really don't want to unless it's needed.

Had a local shop work on my engine and apparently they didn't replace a spark plug correctly. It popped out of the engine and I found it sitting on top of the engine next to the oil cover. My socket set has a 3" extension, but apparently it's not long enough for the spark plug shaft. What length of socket extension would be best? Thanks.
