i know this sounds stupid, but I don't have the owners manual to this SUV. its my husbands and he is deployed and i try to maintain his and my vehicle, mine came with a owners manual when i bought used, and we thought we bought one, but it was a repair guide, and that doesn't help with replacement of a light bulb. i don't know if its the right rear or right front, but when i turn the signal right, it ticks really fast. its a 95 honda passport, 4x4 , 5 speed manual transmission, 6cylender. I can't seem to find a place to change the front, but the back you have to unscrew the entire tail light to get it out, but then after that ia m clueless. please, help, as i live in a state that loves to ticket for such dumb things and i don't want a $75 ticket when i got the bulb, and i don't want to pay $15 labor for someone to put it in. Thank you

when a place says they "fill up all liquids" with a service, what liquids are they talking about? if it says they "perform a 30 point check" what are they usually checking and do they ACTUALLY check it or just BS it? How much is it to get a new spark plug, spark wires, rotator, and cap ?

Well, I'm one of those stuck in the Midwest while we're having sub-zero temps. Anyway, my car won't start. At first I thought it might have been a dead battery, but then I took it to an Autozone and they recharged it. They said that my car should work because what was happening was that the battery was discharging way too much after they ran a diagnostic on it. Well, I went home, installed the recharged battery and my car still won't work. I hear a pretty strong rrrrr-rrrr-rrr sound, like my engine is turning, but it just won't come on. My lights dimmed a bit when I turned the ignition key, but it was very slight. So I don't think it's the battery. Could it be a starter problem, or possibly I might need new spark plugs? Thanks in advance. It's a '92 Honda civic LX with about 152,000 mi. on it. One last thing, could it be that the cold has made the oil too viscous? I drove it for about an hour on the freeway late Sat. afternoon, but came Sun. afternoon, it stopped working...

I have a 1984 Dodge Ramcharger that has a 2 barrel holly on it. I think it needs to be rebuilt because the choke will stick on it. I am just wondering how much it would cost to take to a shop?

Ok guys first I will tell you problems and describe noises... then I will tell you what I have done to fix/check it. Please help me figure this out.

1- When I start my car the engine screams and then I floor the gas and the scream gets louder then stops and everything seems fine

2- I stop at a light with my heat on (Winter in NY), If the heat is on low no noise at all, Heat on med slight squeeking sound (sort of like the sound a hampster wheel makes when a hampster is running on it), The higher the heat the louder the noise, when the light turns green and I go it repeats the same noise as when I start the car in the morning then goes away

3- If I stop at a light and watch my battery indicator, Low heat not much change, higher heat the battery seems to drain, highest heat its drops drasticly BUT never completely drain, when I go again it goes back up to normal

Battery was recently charged and fluid was added (charge = normal)
Altenator is charging normal

Hi, ive been driving my mothers 2000 ford focus for a while now and i noticed that whenever i give it too much gas, the engine revs high but i dont feel the power going to the wheels. Its like, ill be driving, doing like 30mph or whatever, then if i suddenly step on the gas real hard, the engine just revs for a second as if i put it into neutral and then stepped on the gas. is the torque converter slipping or is something else the matter. she doesnt really care about it, but its annoying for me because i wanna go faster as soon as i step on the gas. im a more aggressive driver. Not dangerous aggressive though, at least i dont think so. thanks for your help.

My 99 Mercury cougar just started stalling on me while it idles under 1 RPM...usually when in park or if I come to a stop sign.. I have replaced the fuel pump in it and have had a tune up in it in the last 6 months. I feel like mechanics might be taking advantage of me. Could it be the carborator or the airfilter...I need some advice. Can anyone help me to ask what questions when I take it in AGAIN ? Any suggestions on what it might be?

The car was outside during very cold weather. The door opened easily enough, but will not close now. We tried parking the car inside a garage and heating the door latch with a hair dryer, but that did not help.

Ok-- I replaced my battery this weekend and my truck still won't start in the cold. It has been below zero here three straight days. I park my truck in a heated garage at night and it starts with no problem in the morning, but I get to work and the truck cools off and won't start. However, if I turn the headlights on the truck starts right up. Why does it start when I turn the lights on and what could my problem be?
