There are no sensors connected to spark plugs, coils, ignition wires or injectors, so how does the pcm know when a cylinder misfires and which cylinder it is ??

I know but I want to see how sharp our mechanics are. Bet I don't get a right answer, 10 points

I own a 4 cylinder Hyundai Accent. The manual says the engine does not require to be "warmed up" before driving. But this has been something I've been told to do ever since I started driving. It's been getting down into the 30's overnight lately so I've been briefly warming it up before I start driving. So do I actually need to warm it up? If so, for how long? And lastly, what damage (if any) can be done to my engine if I don't warm it up properly on cold mornings?

I have 2000 Ford F-150 Pickup and it has electronic shifting not manual, It shifts into 4x4 high fine when truck is stopped and below like 15 MPH but lets say you were going 35 mph and you shift it then , what happens is there is a loud clunk a little more than there should be and then it goes in. If your going 45 or so and then do it there is a very odd sound, like a grinding noise.

What problems do ford truck have with this?

Whats the fix?

Here's the problem. The car is a 99 GMC Sonoma, automatic.
On the way to work today I noticed as I was getting on the highway, that when I tried to speed up the RPMs would go way up, but I wasn't moving any faster. I took my foot off the gas and slowly stepped down and I accelerated, but anytime I had to stop the same thing would happen. When I was moving on the highway, there was no problem. I could speed up and slow down and it was fine. It's only when I am moving slow and trying to speed up that this happens. Then on the way home the Idiot Light comes on. I, being an idiot when it comes to cars, have no idea what all this means. Is it the transmission? Is it just that I need transmission fluid? I just inherited this car and I have no idea when the last time trans fluid was added. All the other fluid levels are fine.
Any help would be appreciated.

If I want to connect it to my aftermarket rear fog light, would I connect the battery (via a fuse) to one of the end terminals, connect the middle one to the car's body, and the other end terminal to the fog light?
And if I wand it to get powered when the rear light goes on, do I connect it to the relay instead to the battery?
Thanks!

Since about 4 months ago, my sunfire has been making this strange high pitched noise when i start it, usually lasting for about 5-10 miles. Its not a belt sound, but it comes from the hood somewhere. Today when i got back from school and put my car into park, it was idling roughly and the rpms and gas gauge were jumping around. the gas gauge stopped after about 1 min, but the rpms continued to move slightly. is it the alternator? i hope its not my transmission, i only have about 87k on it. i just got the oil changed and fluids checked 2 weeks ago. help!!
