The owners manual will have a list of suggested things to do at different miles. A Hayden manual would be worth checking too.
There are some special lube points, a serpentine belt, plugs, EGR valve, aging O2 sensors, differential service....things like that that you need to cover at that age.
The dealer will probably try to ripp you off for large amounts of money and MRKnowItAll is a freakin idiot.

Aside from general maintenance, there's nothing you can do to prevent breakdowns.
My wife drives a 96' voyager 3.0 and it's been a great van. However, I've told her when it does breakdown, to gather up anything important to her, and leave the van there.
The repair costs are more than likely going to exceed the value of the van.
The only issue we've had was the electric fan for the radiator quit working, it leaks oil everywhere, it broke one strut, it vibrates bad at 60mph, the air conditioner never worked, the radio sucks, the paint is peeling everywhere, ....
Humm, I guess it has more problems than I first thought.

My car had 165,000 on it. I was religious about oil changes ever 2500 miles (even though my manual said 3000 miles) They checked it over each time and I could at that time do preventative maintanance. The last few thousand miles I had problems with valves related to the emission controls and had to replace them. Also, some of the engine seals had 'rotted' and needed replacing.
Good luck with the Dodge!

I know most people are very timid about going to the dealership to have repairs done simply for the cost of the work. In your case it would be the best thing to do-The dealership uses genuine parts for you make and model, they will advise you of all repairs needed before they actually do them, plus the work is warranted. Go to your local Dodge dealer and have the 100k service done to it, then you will feel more confident when your driving your van.
