I would start looking into a cracked cylinder head or blown head gasket.

I would also find another mechanic. Your present mechanic is throwing random parts at the car, hoping to stumble upon the real cause of your problem.

I suggest trying bringing it to a GM dealer and have a factory trained mechanic look at it.

This will cost you a little more, but think about the thermostat, water pump, and radiator that you bought and paid to have installed that you didn't need.

A GM dealer mechanic is trained and specializes in General Motors products. They have the correct tools and knowledge to get it right the first time, saving you money.

IF YOU HAVE TH V6 ENGINE MORE THAN LIKELY YOU HAVE AN INTAKE GASKET LEAKING COOLANT INTO THE CRANKCASE CAUSING AN OVERHEAT CONDITION . THIS PROBLEM IS MISDIAGNOSED BY MANY TECHS AS A HEAD GASKET FAILURE - TO SEE IF IT IS THE INTAKE GASKET REMOVE THE EGR VALVE AND INSPECT FOR MOISTURE IN PASSAGE WAY IF ANY IS PRESENT - INTAKE GASKET REPLACEMENT SHOULD FIX PROBLEM
