What do you need to know? These fail frequently, can cause drivability issues and are stupid-easy to replace. I just did one on a 2001 Focus a few months ago. On every model year except 01 the DPFE is bolted to the firewall. On the 01's it is underneath the EGR valve. You just need to disconnect the two hoses running to it, yank it out and put in the new part.

The replacement part is interestingly enough, of different design. That says it all.
