Never replace just one strut. At a bare minimum replace them on a per-axle basis (both fronts or both rears) in order to maintain equal handling balance on that axle. Ideally though, especially if the car has in excess of 60-70k miles on it, all four should be replaced at the same time.
There is a significant difference in how a worn strut handles compared to a brand new one, so even having new struts just on one end of the car and old worn ones on the other can induce some interesting handling and braking characteristics. I know that when I have driven customer cars at my shop that have only had two struts replaced I almost always find the handling to be at best questionable. The car just doesn't feel right.

At a minmum you should replace the pair (front or rear), because if one is going the other is not far behind.
If your budget can handle it do all four the others may not need it, but you will have solved that next problem now and also can get a better ride if you want by tuning all the struts to they way you like to ride.

That relies upon on how undesirable they are leaking. it ought to be ok for the timeframe you're searching at. additionally i decide to propose which you wait a quick on an identical time as and verify with yet another save. no longer that it is user-friendly, yet I even have seen restore shops moist the struts so it gave the effect of they are leaking. additionally, attempt getting an estimate from a save like Sears, they have a tendency to be greater low-priced, even even with the undeniable fact that at times there are no longer affordable ideas on overseas autos.

Struts should be replaced in pairs. You do not need to replace all four.

they will probably all go bad shortly if the one is bad, I would at least replace them in pairs, such as replace both front ones at the same time and the rear ones sometime down the road when you get the extra money.

I'd replace that one and the one on the opposite side to make sure performance is equal.
Of course if you've got over 50k miles, I'd replace all if you can afford it.
BTW, I'd recommend Bilsteins. My vehicle handles great and also has less sway than ever.
