I want to know why everything says, including the government, that this fuel can be ran in ALL vechicles. I just had a 1991 explorer in the shop. It has ethanol related problems. This is from a certified tech.

Every time I take the car out for a drive, the engine gets super hot within about 30 minutes of driving it. Then it starts leaking out all the water from the radiator. One time, I went for more than 30 minutes driving without stopping and I guess the radiator threw out all the water the engine was starting to produce smoke. I had to wait like 2 hours for the car to cool down and place water in the radiator so I could get back out on the road again. Any advice?

I recently had an accident where the guy rear ended me going approx. 45 - 50 mph and bent the frame on the back of my 2003 Malibu, when they repair this will it be as safe as it was before? I have three daughters and we're expecting a newborn soon and I don't want a car that won't be as safe as can be. Does frame damage hurt the integrity and impact absorption of the car?

My car is rated at 30 mpg with a 16 gallon tank that should get about 400 miles to a tank. According to my math and tripodometer, I am getting 15 mpg and about 270 miles out of my tank. I am on the interstate for about 2 hours a day driving back and forth to work. Can someone let me know how to get better gas mileage other than keeping the tires full of air?

will be in the middle of driving and the car will just go crazy first the stereo will shut off by it self, then the ABS and check engine light will go on.Then the speedometer and tacometer needles will go up and down, then the car starts to buck and it will just die out. I can't restart the car after, or even get the key out. I have had to have it towed to the auto mechinic for the thrid time and they can find nothing wrong with it.Except he said the battery was low so he changed that but the problem still persists.
Also after having the car towed sunday night because it stalled out again, when then mechanic got in the car this morning to see what was wrong with it. The car started right up like nothing was wrong. He thinks I am crazy!!! I really stuck the mechanic has had the car for a week and can find nothing wrong with it. Anyone have any suggestions

I made the mistake of buying a Bulldog Security remote start system (Don't EVER buy anything of theirs, it's been nothing but a nightmare since I got it out of the store). After two whole seasons, I finally got it installed and operable... sort of. Every time I hit the brake to shift from park, it kills the engine. Is that normal? I was talking to a friend that said that hers did that as well and you had to do something with the doohickey. Anyway, I finally figured it out the other day and now it kinda sorta halfway works right. Why is it that hitting the brake pedal kills the engine? I would assume that the only way to kill the engine would be through the key, which controls the engine the other 99.999999% of the time, but then again, it took me 6 months to get the piece of junk to work at all.

Yes, Bulldog Security's stuff is that bad. I had to get 3 new control boxes before I finally got one that works. Please Please stay away from them unless you like frustration.......

I have a '95 Cadillac Seville. Whenever I turn on the car like 15 seconds later there is a buzzing sound coming from the rear of the car (where the trunk is). Also if I just switch the key to one step before turning on the car (so the car is not on yet, but all the lights in the board turn on etc.) the buzzing sound also happens. This sound last about 4 seconds. It is not too loud, but it is noticeable, I dont remember that sound happening a few months ago. Could this mean that my fuel pump is about to die? or is this normal?

I have a galvanised steel trailer for our boat which has seen better days. I dont have the thousand odd pounds to buy an new one so i need to carry out some repairs. Most of the rust seems to be superficial, rather than eating through the box beams.

Should i take off the excess rust with a wire brush and then paint it with hammerite, or is there a paint that is similar to the zinc allready coating the beams? Should i prime it first then (and if so, what with), or use rust eater or would i be better off and try and build myself a new trailer?

Does anyone have the plans for building boat trailers, or know how much it would cost to dip a whole trailer. The trailer is about 12 foot long and about 5 foot wide?

Thanks in advance...

I took my car to Precision tune to get the oil changed. 2 days later the engine locked up. Someone told me that since my car is so old with 220 miles on it that the 5w30 was too thin and thats what caused it to lock up? The car had oil in it...so it wasnt empty, yet it still locked up.

Do you think that could be a valid reason?

I've got a 1998 S reg VW Golf mark 4 1.4 petrol. Whenever I slow down or when the car is stationary and the engine is running the engine just cuts out. The car starts again with no problems. Is Red-ex the solution to getting rid of this problem? Or will it be something else?
Thanks.
