my car is a mitsubishi mirage... i dont know what the hell those ants are after, but a bunch of em' decided to creap into my car and have a party! i vacumed and used some sort of wipe&spray to wipe the entire inside and outside of the car already, but they're still coming out from the airconditioning holes and etc!! HELP!! and i dont wanna use inset repellant, because it would stink up the car!

my boyfriend left me his car for a month, and he's returning tomorrow!!

I have not drove my car for 5 days (i was sick and it sat in my driveway) and then drove it for a short period 2 days ago. So it basically sat there for a week. Tonight when I went out to start it, it would almost start but just kept stalling. Finally after about ten trys it finally started up. I live in florida and it is warm here so what could have caused that? Is it something I need to be concerned about? I know nothing of cars but now nervous it might do this again when I go somewhere and have to leave it parked.

I have a 84 cressida that was totaled in an accident, but smog equipment is in tact. I really need a car and found a 82 corolla that is only $500 but has no smog cert so I was wondering if I buy this way cheap, but runs car, and it fails smog and needs parts, will the stuff from my other car fit it?

A couple months ago I bought a 1989 Mercedes 420 SEL that was very clean and obviously well cared for with service records. However, there is a very faint leak in the head gasket that is barely detectable. Compression and leak down tests reveal no problems. Took to two mechanics. One wanted $4000 to fix it and acted urgent about it. The other wanted $2800 and says not hurting anything--just check oil and antifreeze and keep eye on gauges. How serious is this problem. No antifreeze or water in oil or other problems and performs very well. How long can I continue driving it? Are Mercedes head gaskets known for minor leaks that are no big deal? I can afford to fix but would rather not if it is not a serious problem.

I have a 2006 model car and the transmission has been messing up since I got it. I have taken it into the dealership a few times and they keep saying that they can't find anything wrong with it. It shifts really hard at times if I don't come to a complete stop before accelerating. My husband checked the transmission fluid and said there was too much fluid in the reservoir. Could this make the transmission mess up? I hope this isn't a stupid question!

I went to GA and it was raining, and the road was really soaked with water and eventually my truck started stalling and i pulled over, and if i gave it more gas it would stall, but if i let off it would run fine, and also my check engine light usually stays on but when it happens it makes the light go off, somebody told me that a distribitor cap can do that, but i am wondering could it be something else?

It's in my 67 beetle. I have a 1776cc engine with a mild cam and a lightened flywheel. I have a single Weber 40 mm carb with 28mm venturi(s) and 2 inch velocity stacks. I now have a main jet that is stamped 110. I want as much power as safely possible but have no idea what size is a good place to start. I'm a bit new to the air-cooled vw's and weber carbs.

My 2000 Pontiac Grand Prix just started acting up. It started with the RPM gauge going to 0 while driving, then the "off Trac" light comes on. Now it sometimes won't start, it will crank, but not turn over. When I take it to the dealer they say nothing is wrong with it. And last night it wouldn't start right away, then it did, but as I got almost home, it just shut off on me while driving. Has anyone ever exerienced this before. The mechanics have no clue b/c there are no codes coming up and it doesn't do it all the time.

But it still runs bad I replaced the fuel filter, air filter, spark plug wires, distributor cap and rotor and it still runs bad like it needs a tune up. what do i need to do to fix my engine? it idles bad too.,

I been asking around here about this but here is the latest:

87 Ford Ranger 2.9 liter V6. Engine rebuilt 3000 miles ago by previous owner.

When I first got it, I noticed it would run warm at times (about 3/4 on the gague). Or at the "O" to the "n" . No numbers. I replaced all the hoses (they were original) flushed the coolant and replaced the thermostat.

Occasionally I always got a whiff of antifreeze which I assumed may have been a leaky heater hose which is now replaced but I spillled antifreeze. For 2 weeks, all seemed well.

Tonight on the way home, the truck heated up to almost the "n" about 3/'4 of the way up and fluctuated. It didnt actually overheat but I stopped from time to time and let it cool. I commute 67 miles each way.

Another observation is my defroster doesnt seem to work well. The windows inside fogged up. Someone said that could mean heater core.

I inspected everything and no visible leaks. No smoke.

I checked the collant level and its full.HELP

I am going to be selling my car soon, but it has a few cosmetic problems, it still runs perfectly. The car is a 2000 Lincoln LS and has about 150,000 miles on it. I just want to know if fixing some things will increase my selling price.

The passenger side door handle is off, the middle storage console is broken (just needs new hindge), there is a white mark on the back fender from the car being in a parking lot, the windsheild is old and has a asmall crack, airbag light is on, back passenger window brokern (needs new motor).

Want some advice on what is or is not worth fixing.

Lately i had a problem with my accord 2002 LXI of little overheating, After checking i come to know that its thermostat is faulty. Company doesnt have one now in stock. Can i drive my car safely and normally without it. As im in Dubai and climate over here is in between 10-48 degree centigrade. Relatively hot place.
If i do so is it going to harm my car performance and damage my engine or cooling system or anything? or is it just fine? As i am getting lot of different responses which made me confused of this matter.
