It's in my 67 beetle. I have a 1776cc engine with a mild cam and a lightened flywheel. I have a single Weber 40 mm carb with 28mm venturi(s) and 2 inch velocity stacks. I now have a main jet that is stamped 110. I want as much power as safely possible but have no idea what size is a good place to start. I'm a bit new to the air-cooled vw's and weber carbs.

I also have oversized intake and exhaust valves. 40 intake i think and 32 exhaust?.

I'm not familiar with VW's either but a place to start as far as trying to figure out what conditions you have now would be to read the spark plugs. Just search "spark plug reading" and check out some of the sites that come up.
