With electronic ingnition, probably nothing unless you left a lot of accessories on too. Like the heater blower fan or other large current user. In the old days, with points ignition, you'd burn up the points.

the battery won't be totally dead; but yes this will effect on the battery. just make sure that when u start ur car again keep ur car on ideal position 4 while.

more than likly no more than a low or dead battery,depending on what assesories were left on,in the old days when cars had points distributors several different componets could be affected.im assuming you have newer than early 70s vehical.
