I recently had an accident where the guy rear ended me going approx. 45 - 50 mph and bent the frame on the back of my 2003 Malibu, when they repair this will it be as safe as it was before? I have three daughters and we're expecting a newborn soon and I don't want a car that won't be as safe as can be. Does frame damage hurt the integrity and impact absorption of the car?

if they bent the frame, i'd get rid of the car. other damage is repairable, but not frame damage. i'm surprised the insurance didn't total the car out.

You feel uncomfortable? sell the car

I don't believe the guy will rear end again.
