I was rear ended today. All that my car sufered, from what I could tell, was a small scratch on the back bumper.

My question is, what if anything, might I want to look for/at in the way of "hidden" damage, that could occur from such and accident.

Im not asking because I feel like there is additional damage, I would actually be suprised if there was. Im asking really because the scratch is so minor, I figured if thats all the damage, I wasn't even gonna worry about reporting to thier insurance.

So I just want to find out if there is anywhere in particular I should look at/check for hidden damage.

Sometimes when I floor it, the transmission makes a loud noise when going from 2nd to 3rd. It is like a "wha wha wha" type of sound and then it goes into gear. Basically, it is the engine reving more than it has to. It happened when I had a tranny leak and it usually happened when the tranny fluid was really low. Do you think it is just because the fluid was low or is it something more than that. I had the transmission rebuilt less than two years ago and when I got my leaks fixed, the mechanic thought it was rebuilt 2 months ago. It only happened when I floored the gas pedal and there are no other problems when there is normal driving.

I backed into my husband' car with mine and dented in the area just in front of his driver's door. The door now barely opens. Is there some way to pull out the dented in metal without much additional damage? I called an auto body place, and they guessed that such a repair would cost between $800-$1500. I can't afford that right now. Any suggestions?

I have heard of a professional spray on window tint for cars. This is done at a dealship not an over the counter product making it look like the built in tint on car windows. No shop in my area has heard of it and I really don't like to look of the film tints. Can anyone help me with this because I'm tired of all the glares from the sun.

I have a 2001 GMC Sierra and the passender window all of a sudden stopped going up or down. When I press the button, it still makes the noise like it is trying, but the window doesnt move. It broke one day when I just rolled the windows down and heard like crunching noises and the window just got stuck. Now I have to push it up and it stays for a while but comes down with bumps. Im just afraid it is going to cost a fortune!

i just want to know if its their fault coz now they say its coz it 's rubbing to the rotor, coz they have to cut it to put the new brake pads, but when i asked why i doesn't do that before even when the brake pads were thin, he couldn't answer me.Do u think they want more money for a bad work? What can i say to make them take the car back to get it fixed w/o paying for the parts they want me to pay for ?

I have a 1988 S-10 Blazer 4.3 TBI 4WD. The oil filter is on the driver's side fender with 2 lines running to the lower engine. I can see oil leaking, but not sure how to fix it. It is in a pretty tight spot. I guess the oil lines go to a sending unit that sends oil to the filter. Any suggestions or ideas would be appreciated. Thanks.

I was following directions from an Edmunds website, and one paragraph said this...

The rotor is that shiny metal disc staring you in the face right now. You can almost see your reflection, right? Get your eyes level with it. If you can't see your face, or at least its general outline, it may mean that the disc needs servicing or replacement. Below, we'll show you how to check this disc for scoring or marring, and what to do about that.

If my rotor is covered in brake dust, will I still be able to see my reflection?

Does a LOT of brake dust mean its time to change my breaks?
