I have heard of a professional spray on window tint for cars. This is done at a dealship not an over the counter product making it look like the built in tint on car windows. No shop in my area has heard of it and I really don't like to look of the film tints. Can anyone help me with this because I'm tired of all the glares from the sun.

Back in the 80's there was a spray on window tint you could buy at a store and it looked horrible. Runny, splotchy and just nasty.

I worked at a dealership installing window film. You are probably thinking about the tinted windows that do not have a film on them. It is not a spray on thing. Those windows are made and installed at the factory (or can be installed at the dealership). However, it involves having the untinted window removed and the factory tinted window installed. Not cheap. The window film is the best way to go if you want to darken your windows.

To sum up, every window tinter I have ever known applied window film to the car windows.

The spray on tint that you refer to is no longer used, as it scrapes off very easily as the window rolls down and up. It used to turn a purple after about a month and many people complained and rec'vd their money back. Get a pair of sunglasses, or buy a car with factory tint, or go to the auto glass shop and purchase tinted windows from the factory.

I have heard of it.
But found it difficult to get a nice "even" layer. then when it was close enough to say okay and leave it. It did not take long for it to start scratching badly off the windows. And if they get dirty forget cleaning them. A sharp razor and the window are now clear again....

I have heard of "dipping" the windows but not spraying. Check the internet.
