It happens when i give it gas or let off when taching low, around 2000 rpm. It doesnt do it when im taching high. Is this normal or is something wrong. Its a pretty bad jerk as soon as i left off, then the second jerk isnt as strong, and so on. What could this be?

When I drive at speeds greater than 100KM/H the rev meter fluctuates between 2& 3, if I continue to press accelerator, D light comes on then a big rev folllow. I have shut it off and start again. What could be happening here. Transmission was checked by a dealer and no problem found.

It seems to me that my battery is shot ! I have a new alternator, yet the battery keeps going dead and I have to keep recharging it. I'll drive the car a few times and then go to start it, and it will be dead, but the eye still remains green.

Alright, I heard that DC current flows from negative to postive, but a car battery flows from postive to negative. Is this correct or is it neg. to pos. on both?

I have a 96 SUV that has had its share of problems. Every week or so I have to refill the coolant beacuse it is almost bone dry... my garage floor is covered in coolant (yes I finally put a drip pan down). My car overheats repeatedly and I'm not sure if its related but a couple times a week when I shift into park the rpm's shoot up to 2.5 and it sounds like I'm flooring it. (also idles around 2) When that happens my car coasts like its still in gear, which I'm pretty sure it is. Do I need a new radiator? Temerapture gauge? What should I do?

mechanic says the 'sloshing liquid' sound is because my head gasket's "gone" (not pressurised??)
I gather its a £200+ job which I cant afford
I check the water regularly & always carry a bottle of water.
My longest journey is likely to be about 60mile round trip (maybe once every couple of months) otherwise its more like 5 - 15.
whats my worse case scenario if i dont get it done?
