You can put air into a tire that has fix-a-flat in it with out a problem. But one warning when you take the car in for those new tires......

DON'T BE A PRICK, TELL THEM THAT YOU PUT THAT CRAP IN THERE. IT IS EXTREMELY FLAMMABLE. IF THEY GO TO TAKE THE TIRE OFF THE RIM, A SPARK CAN CAUSE THE TIRE TO EXPLODE.

If you tell them that there is fix-a-flat in there, they can use some preventative measures to be safe.

Yes you absolutely can.
But cruising at At highway speed may be a bit uncomfortable. Fix a flat dramatically throws the balance of the tire off. Drive it but get the tire replaced or repaired correctly soon.
Air won't do anything to fix a flat!

Best to think of the Fix-a-flat as a temporary fix not anything permanent. It does seal the leak and inflate the tire in one step making it really convenient for a quick fix. Use it if there's no time to do it the right way by taking the tube out and applying a patch but even if you do as soon as the rides is over and before you ride again, take the tube out and patch it the right way. One other point, when you do take the tube out, keep your face away from the valve stem when you let the air out, that stuff is powerful, not sure if its toxic, but it'll take your breath away.

You need to air it up as soon as possible. A lot of tires have blown out because they were a little low. Fix a flat is only to get you to the gas station so you can air it up the rest of the way.

Fix- a- flat is a quick fix to get you to a tire repair shop. You need to get it fixed properly. Especially in the winter,as the moister in fix- a- flat will freeze once the vehicle rest in cold weather (below 32 degrees Fahrenheit) This may cause the wheel to become out of balance requiring you to get it fixed anyway.
