It happens when i give it gas or let off when taching low, around 2000 rpm. It doesnt do it when im taching high. Is this normal or is something wrong. Its a pretty bad jerk as soon as i left off, then the second jerk isnt as strong, and so on. What could this be?

Fuel injectors clogged ? Trany fluid low ? Rear end lube low ? A foweled spark plug ? Vacume leak ? Loose or bad spark plug wire ?

There could be a number of reasons for the jerking. It could be something in your transfer case/ transmission or a broken gear. My suggestion would be to take it to a trusted mechanic or specialized transmission shop. Some of those places will give free estimates. Another possibility is a loose motor mount.

Your transmission may be slipping and when it hooks up you get a violent jerk. Get a trans mission pan and filter service done as soon as possible.
When you step on the gas does it rev up and then slam!?
If so the sevice may help or you need a new trans mission. You may be able to put Lucas transmission treatment in it. That stuff works miracles. It may help you get by till you get the pan, and filter service done

1st this is called detonation and its caused by bad fuel automization u didnt mention if ur truck benzine or diesel engine but u can check the injectors spraying and the air port in diesel if benzine try cleaning the carburator and the cam shaft and the inlet fuel valves if its injection benzine then check the injectors u can also sheck the spark plugs in benzine or the fuses.
