A 96 ranger does not come with a transmission that uses a vacuum modulator. There is no way that transmission fluid can get into the motor. What gives you the idea that this is happening??? How did you come to this conclusion??? Please let us know.

The transmission and engine are two seperate units. It is not possible to get tranny fluid in an engine. The transmission is cooled when fluid is run through the radiator. I would have the fluid checked to make sure you are not mistaken.

As far as i know... it's impossible for that transmission to leak tranny fluid into the motor. It has a separate tranny fluid radiator attached to the bottom of the engine radiator... if anything, it'd simply leak onto the floor. How do you know you have tranny fluid in your motor?

The only way that this can happen is if the vacuum modulator on the trans. has a ruptured diaphram and the vacuum line attached to it is sucking fluid out of the trans. and into the intake manifold.

Somebody poured it into the engine. Leaky vacuum modulators might foul your plugs, but the fluid won't wind up in the crankcase.

call your community Ford broker with the serial sort of your truck and that they'd inform you what style of transmission it has. maximum in all probability it's going to be an A4LD. verify their motorcraft line of rebuilt transmissions, a number of those are fairly low in fee to the aftermarket and of extra useful high quality, in line with probability no longer yours, yet well worth asking approximately.
