99 honda civic with multimatic tx,the rev meter fluctuates & D light comes on after @ speeds100km/h & car pull

Question

When I drive at speeds greater than 100KM/H the rev meter fluctuates between 2& 3, if I continue to press accelerator, D light comes on then a big rev folllow. I have shut it off and start again. What could be happening here. Transmission was checked by a dealer and no problem found.

Speed sensor may be bad. When it goes bad sometimes it confuses the computer. It's also the cheapest thing to start with.
You didn't specify whether it's a standard or automatic. That would help us trouble shoot it a little better
