how do you put motor oil in the motor? I know It may sound pretty stupid but I left my husband and he would always take care of it. Do I put it in the little pipe hole where you check the oil level? I know I'm lacking a quart cause he had told me so prior to me leaving cause he said he had checked and had not had time and did not want for me to lock my engine up for the sake of our children......

the hose in my car looks very different from anything I have been able to find on-line. I find straight hoses and mine is almost Y shaped.

I'm taking off my valve stem seals on my cylinder head and they are stuck on the valve guide. As I pulled them off, they tore leaving half of it on there. So I'm thinking that if I spray some type of chemical on it, i t will break down and thus make my life easier. So the ? is, what spray will eat away rubber but be safe on aluminum?

I just bought a car with a twin turbo engine. Is it true I need to let the engine run for awhile in park to let the turbos cool down. i heard it could ruin over time if this is not done?

I go to start it, and my lights come on (so it's not the battery, I JUST replaced it) and it spits and sputters and never actually starts. It acts like it is going to, but then it simply doesn't. I checked the fuses and they were all fine. I'm wondering if it could be a fuel filter or worse, fuel pump.

I have a 2.4 engine if that's any help. Any ideas?

ok so a while ago me and my friend changed the alternator on my car and afterwards there was this really loud noise coming from the alternator belt. So we tightened it and the noise went away. But after driving around for a while the noise has started to come back, only it's not as loud as it was before, but it's still annoying.
So does this mean that I just havn't found the right setting that it needs to be at?

My friend had to replace one of her tires about a month and a half ago because there was damage to the side wall and she got a used tire that was supposed to be the same brand/model as her other tires. When she went to get her maintenance on her car the dealer told her that the used tire was one centimeter off from the others ones and could cause damage to her car. She is buying new rims and tires of a dif. size and she is still waiting for them to come in which is why she didn't buy new tires all around. Will one centimeter off really cause a lot of damage? The place where she ordered her rims said that the ones she wants are on back order until the end of november... is that too long to run on the different size tire?

Engine stutters irregularly when I have the car in gear and sitting still. the stutter shakes the whole car, but goes away as soon as I accelerate. With the stutter comes a corresponding drop in idle RPM from around 800 to about 550-600. Anyone got a clue?

Was tightening lug nuts that were apparently the wrong fit, and I actually broke off the stud into the lug nut, about half of the stuf broke. Question is, would the whole wheel hub, I believe it is called have to be replaced? I could buy a new hub online before I go to the dealer, but if I take it to the dealer and they can hav an alternative it should be cheaper than a new hub, if I take it to the dealer and they say you need a new hub, then I know they will charge a ridiculous amount of money.
