YOU can't. To turn off either the "Check Engine' light or "Maintenance Due" light requires expensive equipment. Has to be done by a repair shop or the dealer.
If this is a light for oil change, look in the owner's manual for directions.

You can not turn it off. It is something that you are going to need in the future for other maintenance's. But if It bothers you so much take your car to your Toyota dealer. I wouldn't touch anything attached to the car's computer on my own

try this

1.Turn the ignition key to the "ACC" or "LOCK" position with the odometer reading shown.
2.Turn the ignition key to the "ON" position while holding down the trip meter reset button. Hold down the button for at least 5 seconds. The odometer indicates "000000" and the light goes off. If the system fails to reset, the light will continue flashing

Well, if you don't care that something might be wrong......

Try disconnecting the battery and stepping on the brakes a few times. This should reset your ECU and make the CEL go off.
