Well, you'll need to take the entire engine, electronic controls (if any), fuel system, and quite likely the transmission from a suitable diesel vehicle and swap it in. If this engine was never put in your car, you'll probably have to fabricate some motor, which is not especially hard if you have a Sawzall, a good strong drill, and a welding torch (and know how to use all three). And before you do all this, you'll need to do a lot of measuring to make sure it fits.

I've tried to buy one overseas and have no luck. Perkins made the Mazda B2200 Diesel engine for 80 thru 84 Mazda trucks. Most are still running. These are real diesels unlike todays computer controlled diesels.

yes, along with the fuel lines, the fuel tank, the fuel pump, and the computer that runs it all...
so yes it can be switched out, but you need all the stuff that goes a long with the diesel engine...
good luck

have fun..it does sound like a lot of work..but I like that work and think it is fun..

Yep. With a whole lot of trouble, and very little chance of ever being legal.
