you stick the key in the ignition and the key doesn't turn?

I've already...made sure my car's in park and my steering wheel is locked.

Try to wiggle the wheel back and forth while turning the key. Also try flipping the key over if it will go in both ways. Try lifting up or pressing down on the key while trying to turn it.

If none of that works you'll have to replace the lock cylinder. A mobile locksmith can often do this job. If not you'll have to get it towed to a shop to remove the lock cylinder.

With the key in the ignition turn your steering wheel back and forth and try to turn the key. The steering wheel locking mechanism will sometimes interfer with the ignition switch being turned

You may have to try jiggling the steering wheel real hard if it is jammed, this does happen on occasion. Otherwise you need the lock cylinder replaced. Good luck with your situation.

I've had that before when my steering wheel was turned pretty far when I parked it. Try jiggling the wheel a bit before trying to start and see if that helps--that's what fixed mine!

Means your key is worn out or your ignition switch is busted.
