Alright, so I have a 97 isuzu oasis minivan. It has power steering, and for whatever dumb reason, after I turned the car off, I decided to see how far I could turn it, then all of a sudden it clicked and got stuck..the wheels didn't turn at all either...and now the steering wheel won't move and when I stick the key in it won't turn at all..I'm really confused and I need to get to school in the morning!

How expensive would it be to replace the catalyst converter on a 2000 Honda Civic? Would it be cheaper to just trade it in? Actually what is the catalyst converter, what function does it perform on a car?

The liquid is slightly warm, but not hot. I noticed this after the car was parked for about 5 minutes after a 30 minute drive in local traffic. After trying to locate the exact source of the leak, I noticed the liquid dripping off the frame. The spot on the ground is on the passenger side, approx the size of a cupcake, approx 3-4 inches away from the engine, and about 2-3 inches in front of the front wheel. The fluid levels were all checked and are within the normal range. The car typically runs fine, a little rough at an idle on occasion and gas mileage has decreased by about 100 miles/tank over the last year. It doesn't overheat, and is driven daily. It was suggested that it's a possible leaking head gasket. Any thoughts or suggestions would be helpful as I am on an extremely tight budget, and I don't want to spend money on useless repairs.

Sometimes, when I activate the overdrive button on my automatic transmission, it does not automatically kicks in. I have to go above 100 km for it to work. Would you know the solution to this? What should I check? Would it be mecanic coupling or at an electrical level?

I had my brake pads replaced and now when I press on the brakes it takes more effort to brake than before. The car does come to a complete stop, just takes more effort. Were they changed incorrectly, or could it be another problem?

The armrest snapped off...there are 2 copper pieces that fit in 2 little square holes in the base. They had tabs on both sides which prevented the armrest from falling forward when you lean on it...but the tabs broke off. If I had to describe the pieces, they looked like when they were pushed in and there was no way to take them out without breaking one of the tabs off each piece.

[ ] <~~~the square hole

/|_|\ <~~~ the piece looks like this and at the bottom, a screw connects it with the arm rest

/|_ <~~~this is what it looks like broken

Hopefully this is enough information for an answer. This is the best description I could make.
Does anyone know where I can get these pieces?

My car is a 97 Corolla. For about one year, it has a loud noise staring, or larger than average vibration. Shops cannot ID the problem. One shop said it is the power steering pump problem. It drives fine, quieter when totally warmed up. Any guess?

I have a triumph that has issues. The heads have been off for a year, the pistons are a bit rusty....can i remove the rust if there is not pitting? It all started with a blown head gasket, the previous owner used some sort of blue silicone for all the gaskets!!!! This car was a gift to me. What can i use to remove the rust? And what can i use to clean out the engine..blown gaskets...oil, water, pertrol all mixed together. Thank you
