Sometimes, when I activate the overdrive button on my automatic transmission, it does not automatically kicks in. I have to go above 100 km for it to work. Would you know the solution to this? What should I check? Would it be mecanic coupling or at an electrical level?

One of two things. Either the shift solenoid is faulty or speed sensor. check the colour of the oil in the trans (should be red) if it's a darker colour then the clutch pack is worn out which is quite common with Jatco transmissions (which it will have)
