I have a 2002 KIA Optima. Last night, my husband turned the wipers on while they were frozen to the windshield. The passenger side wiper began working immediately. The drivers side, however, got stuck. He then pulled it up off the window and it began to move. Only it went too far and past the side of the windshield. Then both wipers were moving in different directions. Now, the drivers side wiper is not moving at all. What is wrong with it? I know it is not the wiper motor because the passenger side is still working.

I recently got my oil changed on the 4th of October and yesterday the oil light flashed on than cut off. I checked my oil and I put in 2 quarts. How often should u have to put oil in a car on average. I think that the oil was burned too quickly, am I right?Or do you think it was about time for more oil

ok i posted earlier about this but i didnt put as much detail into it. my friend has a 2006 car (dont know make or model) so he has a big system in his car and the stock battery was not holding up so he purchased a kenetik 950 amp dry cell battery to replace the stock one so now he is having problems with the car but doesnt know if thats the cause. basically he turns on the car in the morning and its hard to start and there is like loud exhaust noise and the car feels like its moving from front to back like as if it were stalling he lets in heat up for a while and then it goes away but when he is driving and coming to a slow stop the car pulls a little bit like a pulling to the front and feels as if the car is going to turn off. could this be the battery i tell my friend to take it back as its a brand new car. thank's

I drive a 96 neon. A few times, it just would not start. Not even make a sound. Then later, it would start again. Now, it wont start at all. Any idea at all what it may be, to help narrow it down for us?

I've heard that when you add 100% acetone (basically nail polish remover) to your car's gas tank, that it will increase your mileage by 3-5 MPG. I've also heard it calms down a rough idling engine. Anyone ever heard of this and if so, does it work? I'd do anything to get better mileage, gas is so expensive!

What is causing this noise? It only does it when I first start the car and at the beginning of pushing the gas. I will push the gas and before I get to about 10mph the noise has stopped, but if I stop it does it again. 2002 Dodge Stratus if that helps.

I tried scratching those bits off with my fingernail, but it takes the paint off. Any good suggestions? I already went to the car wash a couple of times, and each time some cement comes off but it takes the paint off also.

We are about to be hit with below freezing tempratures and I need to know if it is safe to pour the antifreeze (50/50 mix) straight in or if I need to proceed with the entire flushing and cleaning procedure.

Ok, so I purchased a 2001 Audi TT Quattro last night from a private seller and today after driving it for a few miles the clutch froze up and wouldn't go into any gear. As a side note last week my mechanic looked the car over throughly and this wasn't an issue. I called my mechanic as I was waving cars around me and he told me to turn the car off, place the car in gear and then start it but to be careful because it would take off on me.
It worked just as he said it would and I limped home without being able to stop other wise the car would die. Now I know a fair bit about classic automobiles but I've never had a car this new. Based on what I've read on the net it sounds like the hydraulics on my clutch went out but what does that mean to me? Is the clutch gone? Maybe out of fluid? What are the best/worse case senarios? Can this thing just happen all of a sudden or is it likely that the guy I bought it from had a good idea that this was an issue. Thanks for your help!!

I was at a stopsign and my car suddenly would not move. It shifts in gear but will not go. It was fine earlier and I can't understand what happened so suddenly. I had my car towed home and was told it could be the transmission. It has fluid in it, so does this mean that I need a new transmission?

Compressor has service valve on top and bottom..so which is the high and low pressure..and how do I service a/c doing the do-it-yourself process.

If it smells burnt you are probably already screwed, and a tranny flush could finish off your transmission by loosing up the sludge that is holding it all together. If that is the case, you might just want to drive it until it dies, and deal with the $2000 rebuild then. If the fluid smells ok - and still shows sign of its original pink color, then a flush is in order ASAP. Is this true or false ?
