What is causing this noise? It only does it when I first start the car and at the beginning of pushing the gas. I will push the gas and before I get to about 10mph the noise has stopped, but if I stop it does it again. 2002 Dodge Stratus if that helps.

Alternator belt is loose. If the noise stops and a little red light that looks like a battery stays on in the dashboard then the belt has fallen off

if it is squeaking only then it will be the belt drive. it will stop once the belt is warmed up and no immediate concern( i mean till next scheduled maintenance). if vibration is also there then you will have to slightly increase the idle setting of engine( also check mounting bushes in that case).
