The armrest snapped off...there are 2 copper pieces that fit in 2 little square holes in the base. They had tabs on both sides which prevented the armrest from falling forward when you lean on it...but the tabs broke off. If I had to describe the pieces, they looked like when they were pushed in and there was no way to take them out without breaking one of the tabs off each piece.

/|_|\ <~~~ the piece looks like this and at the bottom, a screw connects it with the arm rest

/|_ <~~~this is what it looks like broken

Hopefully this is enough information for an answer. This is the best description I could make.
Does anyone know where I can get these pieces?

the square hole is obviously big enough for the piece to squeeze through, then taking the form of the hole when the tabs adjust.

Need to replace the armrest completely....

depending upon the design...

There is a cap that is on the back area of the center console arm rest... it goes from the top on down into the cup holder for the back seat passengers.. you have to remove that cover, then remove screws in the back that hold bracket to rest of center console... just 2 screws if I remember

A new arm rest should be all you need. Those broken parts I believe are attached to the arm rest and when you square them up to the holes they fit in, you just push on the arm rest and it snaps into place..

Unzip the armrest cover, take it off and remove the torgue bolt. The armrest will come off and you can take it to the dealership for the correct repair parts.
