air filter. it hardly goes fast, maybe 10-15mph tops with a jerking and wont make it up a hill and on acciason will cut off on you.. can you please tell me why this does it and how to fix it..

1.) 6hp techumseh engine
2.) belt driven
3.) made sure bowl on carb was tight
4.) belt driven
5.) thats really all..

Can I stop payment on my check I gave to my mechanic if he claimed my car was fixed but it really wasn't fixed once i drove it home? Does he have to fix the problem after bringing my car back to him a second time for and NOT CHARGE ME FOR FIXING IT TWICE?

BMW 318iS - 1995 - 1798cc

I have checked the bulbs and they are fine, I have checked the fuses and they are fine. Any ideas why my reverse lights dont work please, I have been told there is a switch on the gearbox that maybe at fault, any advice as to where to find this switch and how to remove and replace this would be very helpful. thanks for reading.

after about a few minutes, maybe more, of driving my truck there is a burning rubber smell and some smoke. yet when i opened the hood and restarted the engine it does nothing. it's like it doesn't want to do it if i'm staring at it. we just got the serpentine belt done about june/july. my sister's boyfriend thinks it might be motor oil spilled on the hot parts of the engine. i just don't want to have my truck blow up on me because i love my little truck.

My G'pa passed away in June, and I've been placed in charge of his car, a '89 Buick Lesabre with 110,000 miles on it. I'm too busy to find someone who will pay more for it, so it sits.
How often should I drive it and why? I've heard of needing to put the car on blocks, etc.

this is on my 1993 rx7 twin turbo. only happens when car is sat still and put in gear. take back out of gear and the revs steady them self again. more noticeable when engine is cold.

I was having intermittant starting problems, and had noticed that my volt gauge had dipped down to just below 14v. After loadbank testing, we determined that the alternator was not charging properly. I replaced the alternator, the battery (because the "+" terminal broke), and cleaned the cable ends. The volt gauge is now just above 14v. My Fluke voltmeter shows no-load charging at about 14.3v, but when I turn on all the accessories it falls to 12.8 - 13.5 at idle, and only recovers to 13.8v to 14v when the engine is above 2000 rpm. Any suggestions?

Okay... I have a Mongoose Blackcomb in which I bike to school everyday... On Friday, some jerks sprayed WD-40 on the disk brakes, so now the brakes won't work. Dose anyone know of anything that will take the stuff off quickly without damaging the brakes?

i have a renault clio and when i started it up last night it was quite sluggish and i noticed on the pavement there is powdery residue on the floor where i have reved it does anyone know why this is or maybe something that i might need to get it fixed?
