i have a renault clio and when i started it up last night it was quite sluggish and i noticed on the pavement there is powdery residue on the floor where i have reved it does anyone know why this is or maybe something that i might need to get it fixed?

sounds to me like it is running very rich on fuel may be a fuel pressure or 02 sensor

Because you have a Renault. It's probably your piston rings, and if that's the case unless you wanna spend more money in oil than you do in fuel, than it's a good idea to get it fixed

resideue from burning the fuel.

If it's very noticable when you rev and drive, then it maybe the air to fuel mix is not balanced corrctly, you may need to get the mixture sorted ...

nothing is wrong, you ran over a paper bag and got stuck to the exhaust, it will burn off on its own

u need oil filter change and a complete oil change
