to bleed your brake system requires two people one to pump the brakes and another to open the bleeder valves. the way you do this is locate the bleeder valves on each axle easiest way to do this is look at where your brake lines go and find a little piece that looks like a bolt with a hole in it somtimes these have tiny rubber dust covers on them that must be removed to bleed brakes. once you have found these bleeder valves have someone pump the brakes 4 or 5 time and hold there foot on the pedal. with there foot on the pedal open one of the bleeder valve up and watch and see if anything comes out remember not to get to close to it it may squirt you. after your partners foot has reached the floor tighten up the bleeder valve and repeat until no air comes out when bleeding. (make sure you tighten up the bleeder valve before he or she ther foot of the pedal. If you do not when they take there fooot off it will suck air back into the line) Remember this can only be done one wheel at a time.

getting the air pockets out of the lines
you open the brake lines until the brake fluid comes out to make sure there is no air in them

It means pumping air out of the fluid filled brake lines so that when you step on the brakes, they will work.

air can get into the brake lines.. when air gets in you have to push the brake pedal much harder and farther to successfully slow the vehicle because air compresses more than brake fluid. in order to get the brakes working better again it is necessary to 'bleed' the air out of the lines.

bleeding, simply means, you open a little valve next to the 4 tires.
while somebody pump on the brakes, you open the valve. then right away you close it! So no air, will enter the brake line.
