It sounds like bones cracking and I was wondering if it could be the struts maybe?

I have a '97 Honda Accord LX (station wagon). Recently, the lock to the back door is no longer working. The lock seems to have come off track?? (I think this is because of the door being slammed shut numerous times.)

Does anyone know how to fix this?

My Dodge Caravan has 130,000 miles. Other than oil changes should I use a product like Slick 50 or any other engine treatment to help an older engine run well?

The guage goes up and back and the lights get brighter as the guage goes to the high mark. It has not gone past the top of the normal mark yet, but it could only be a matter of time.

Has anyone tried this??
Would it engage?
Would the gear stick jolt violently and break your arm?
Destroy the gear-box??
Flip over like when you were young on a push-bike slamming on the front brake too hard???

tell you you need the rotors replaced when you get new brake pads? If you ask why they can't be machined, they always have some reason/excuse. Their advertised price of $50 ends up $250. What's a guy to do?

My car started fine this morning and when I got to work, I dropped my son off at daycare and when I tried to start my car again it was dead. After work the car started fine and I was able to get home fine. Now the battery is dead again. Any idea what might cause this? The car is a Mitsubishi Montero Sport if that matters.

I have manual transmission. It has 111K miles. I just had an entire front brake job done less than two months ago. Back in February of this year, I went to my mechanic and told him that something was squealing under the hood. I told him that it only squealed on days where it had rained the night before, that morning or if it was just really humid outside that day. The squealing would stop after driving a few miles. Usually, I could get it to stop by just sitting in the driveway and reving the engine with the stick in neutral for about 10-15 seconds. Anyway, he put in a new serpentine belt. It started up again not too long after that. Now, the squealing happens when I start up the truck and it doesn't stop after a few miles. Reving the engine doesn't make it go away. It's been cool and dry the past few days (just started this way a few days ago). It's most audible when idling. But I can still hear it even when on the tollway going 65 mph. Does something need to be lubricated? Or what?

I just got my '87 Nissan Stanza back from the mechanics a few hours ago - this noise wasn't there before - obviously I have to bring it back - but please help me ID this noise. It's a very strange squealing almost-whistling sound - it's loud & persistent. It didn't happen right away - but once it started, it didn't stop (except after braking)..the sound wasn't a consistent sound - it sort of went up & down in pitch. it definitely sounded like it was coming from the driver's side front area. All my belts were replaced in January. And - just today they did front brake service (rotors/axle work) and rear brake service (new brake shoes/pads, repack bearings & checked grease seals, inspected hydraulics for leaks & wear, resurface drum). Any ideas?

How difficult is it to fix problems occuring with an automatic transmission, I know this question is very broad and would depend on the type of problem occuring, but generally speaking can an automatic transission be well maintained and problems fixed at home (with the right equipment), just like a manual transmission?

Thanks

my wife and mother in law having a yard sale and they decide to try and sell my 1962 dodge pickup/318/pushbutton shift (blinker covers are 80 bucks/tail light-95/carberator 250) and put a price of 2400 on it and is complete and runs and the body is straight, but there mind is not, should i be p/o'ed at them, because i didn't know about there plan, and sent someone to see the truck who was offering 4500 for it, if it ran and it does, but now thanks to them i'm locked in to a 2400 price, how do you think i should react
