in the big suction or low pressure side!! just pay someone who knows how and where and how much to add. You really have to know what you are doing to charge an A/C unit. you don't just "dump some in" you have to know what you are doing or you can get hurt bad. get a Chilton's book at an auto parts store and it will tell you. or the library has them as well to check out.

You would add it to the port that has the blue or black cap on it. Just remember that the only time you would need to add to it is if it's leaking. It's a completely sealed system, so you shouldn't need to add anything unless there is something wrong. You can track it yourself. Buy some R134a with dye in it, add it, wait a week, then when it's dark out, pop the hood and look at it with a black bulb. You should see the leak at that point. Whatever you replace, you'll need to replace the receiver/drier as well. Then top off the freon. Just remember that by law, the freon has to recovered by a certified facility, you're not supposed to just let it escape into the atmosphere.

YOU REALLY NEED TO KNOW WHAT YOU ARE DOING, IN THE CASE THAT YOU DO THEN YOU HAVE TO FIND THE LOW PRESSURE SIDE OF THE SYSTEM IF YOU CAN FIND THE LOW PRESSURE CAP THIS WILL BE THE SMALLER OF THE TWO THEN THAT IS WHERE YOU ADD THE FREON, IF YOU HAVE TROUBLE FINDING THE LOW PRESSURE VALVE THEN FIND WHERE THE TWO LINES COMES FROM THE CONDENSER WHICH IS IN FRONT OF THE RADIATOR WHEN YOU FIND THE TWO LINES THEN FIND THE SMALLER ON AND FOLLOW IT TOWARDS THE DRYER (THIS LOOKS LIKE A SILVER THERMOS BOTTLE) YOU SHOULD COME TO THE SMALL VALVE BEFORE YOU GET TO THE DRYER. WHEN YOU ARE PUTTING THE FREON YOU WANT TO MAKE SURE THAT YOU ARE USING A CONNECTING HOSE THAT HAS A GAGE ON IT, YOU CAN GET THEM AT ANY PARTS STORE. ON THE BACK OF THE GAGE IT WILL GIVE YOU THE PRESSURE YOU SHOULD HAVE AND IT WILL GIVE IT TO YOU AGAINST THE AMBIENT TEMPERATURE, THAT MEANS WHAT EVER TEMP IT IS OUTSIDE THEN YOU LOOK AT THE GAGE AND FIND THAT TEMP AND THAT IS THE PRESSURE YOU GO BY. I HOPE THIS HELPS.

The A/C should not need refilling unless there is a leak, if that's the case then you should find and fix the leak first, otherwise your losing your "money" to the atmosphere, if a repair has been made then the system needs to be evacuated before refilling.
Fill the system through the low side with the system on ( engine running ) to prevent overcharging.

Your car taked R134A. YOu can get a can with a dispenser form the auto parts store.
There are 2 valves inwhich to put it in, and the valve will not allow you to put it in the wrong side.
The valves are not the same size and you cant put it in the high side as the nipples are not the same size
