My 89 Camaro Z28 steering noise?

It sounds like bones cracking and I was wondering if it could be the struts maybe?

u got it bud i have the same problem on my truck just no time to fix em right now

Sounds exactly what the problem is my friend.......usually the upper strut mounts/bearing plates go bad, and whenever you turn left/right even while sitting still, that's a pretty good indicator.

yes it could be your struts, but it sounds like your rear shocks could be also bad.it also could be your body flexing. the car is getting old you know.
