I'm trying to get around changing out another pump at $200+ when they only seem to get 55,000-60,000 miles out of one. It's that way with my buds 2000 S-10 P/U, too. #1ChevyPartsSupporter, Peej

2000 Chevy Blazer- backseat floor always soaking wet after rain even when it has not been driven. When I do drive it (after it has rained) I can hear water rushing from somewhere in the back when I turn a corner. Can't tell where it's coming from or how it got there. Driving me crazy! Backseat floor is always wet, just when it starts to dry we get another rain and it starts all over again. Any suggestions would be very much appreciated.

It started leaking a few weeks ago...I crawled under it and could not pin-point the problem. Then last evening I was going to check the fluid level and found the problem...No dipstick...Should I just buy another dipstick & add fluid or do I have to flush it , add new fluid and hope for the best. The fluid was just changed last year.

Ive been told there is a type of transparent sheet of a thick plastic which can be cut-to-shape and stuck on the bonet, bumber etc. of the car.
This is used to protect the paintwork from stone chippings and scratches.
Does anyone know what this is called?
Supposedly very popular for use on luxury cars like ferraris.....

the inlet valve on my clio broke due to water leak in the head which corroded the inlet valve that seized and broke, (not cam belt) the engine was idling when it went, and although there is a small dent in the piston face everything seems ok, apart from that the effected piston is now 0.75mm lower than the other three pistons when at top of the cylender, and when turning the engine over by hand there is a tight spot when all four pistons are midway in the bore. the engine turns perfectly on the starter with no knocking sounds,or signs of binding. can I chance buying just a new head or will the slight damage to the no 3 piston make it better to replace the whole engine, the car is 1991 clio diesel, with 70k, and I live in Spain, where old cars cost a fortune! but spares are cheap.

Hi everybody. I have a question regarding the use of unleaded gasoline in older cars. I have a 1994 Mazda Protege I bought back in 1997 and because of sentimental attachment reasons I would like to keep this car. Back then leaded gasoline was not phased out in my country, and this particular car is a carbuerator engine, no cat convertor, designed to run on leaded gasoline. Back in early 2000s, leadd gasoline was phased out in accordance with the EU laws, and now it is impossible to find leaded gasoline anywhere. I have used unleaded gasoline in the car a few times and did not notice any difference in the way it runs.

I was wondering if it is OK to use unleaded gasoline in this type of a car, designed for leaded gasoline ?
