I recently ruined my front, passenger side tire and rim by driving over a cement block. I am using a spare tire.
A mechanic tells me that my lower control arm needs to be replaced. While driving to buy the car from the dealer, my car shuts off while waiting to pull out of a driveway and again at a stop sign.
I simply restart the car the first time; but the second time, I have to pump the gas vigourously while turning the key.
My TCS (traction control system) light flashes on and off. I don't know if my car is in need of a tuneup or if the spare tire being crooked (b/c of the damaged lower control arm) is affecting the TCS so that car goes into "limp home mode".
I cleaned the battery terminals today before driving the car and it did not shut off. (I'm thinking that's just a coincidence.)
Last week, before wheel damage, while driving the car, the Radio/CD player shut off and would not play above the volume of a whisper. Now it works. Related?
