how do i clean intake manifold runner control?

imrc stuck open
garage said might be gummed up
have not done anything yet

You need to be more specific. I'm assuming that the reason you ask is because you've already "pulled" a DTC for IMRC control of some sort. Check the plastic bushings that the IMRC solenoid rods go into. They are known to break. They are also relatively inexpensive if this helps.

remove the upper intake manifold and clean the throttle plates inside, But Why ? whats wrong with your IMRC ?
Usually There is something else wrong when you have a IMRC related code set!
