if its making a noise then something is happening, pull back the plastic cover at the base of the wiper arm and tighten the 13mm nut.

If it makes noises and dont work you need to fit a new wiper motor.
If it dont make a noise it is probably seized and a strip down grease and rebuild will fix it, this is strictly DIY as garage labour for the strip rebuild will be more than a new Motor.

If you get it going use it every day or it will seize up again, lift the wiper bklade off the screen every time you drive in hot dry weather or the blade will stick to the glass

Do not go to a vauxhall dealer. They will charge you a fortune to just have a look.

They wanted £200 from my brother to run an engine diagnostic. He went somewhere else and they did it for free. The problem was a £2 fuse. A saving of £198.

if the moter is actually moving the arm but it is not clearing, then the wiper arm is siezed and not touching tke glass. if the wiper is not working(no noise,or movement it is either a fuse caput wiper moter or an eletrical wireing short need more info.

check back where you bought it my local dealer dissconnects the back light wiper etc, and interior light as they have the doors boot open etc, in the showroom and if you dont dissconnect them battery goes flat they assured me this is common practice worth a try dont you think before you go spending any cash and if its not that they should put new motor in for you as you should still have some warranty left three months usually from most dealers

Could just be the wiring. Technically, you don't need the rear wiper.

check the fuse.. wiring... motor.. and blade is not jammed.... abit of wd40 can help you there..... and it is a windscreen... not shield.. only the front is a windshield.. unless you drive everywhere in reverse..silly answerer.... lol!!

I would take it to a mechanic, it sounds like and electrical problem.
