when we tured on the car the air cinditioner was running fine then suddunly we heard the air conditioer stop( the noise that it makes while the air conditioner is running) what is the problem and how can i fix it- the car is a 1995 buick lasabre

Can't really decide just what you mean. Did the inside fan stop running or did the compressor under the hood stop running?

If the inside fan stopped running, I would suspect a blown fuse, fan motor broke, fan switch broke or fan speed resistor coils burned out. Does the fan run on ANY of the speeds?

Next, if it was the compressor, under the hood that stopped, Suspect a fuse in the clutch circuit, bad clutch and low freon.

If you are pretty good with electricity and ac systems, you might be able to figure it out. IF not, a good repairman can help you. Good luck. Pops

It is probably low on refrigerent but the type your car takes R-12 is no longer made and it cost losts of money to add to a car if you have a leak it will just run out again. Roll down the windows
