I have a 1993 grand prix gtp. When I put the tranny in gear it feels like it goes into park,rock to go in gear

I was told that it was like a transaxle sensor but I wanted to get some more feedback. Thank you

I had a '95 Grand Prix, it did the same. There is a module on the side of the transmission, it was bad. I usually fix most things but I did take it to a shop to have this put on.
