2000 Chevy Blazer- backseat floor always soaking wet after rain even when it has not been driven. When I do drive it (after it has rained) I can hear water rushing from somewhere in the back when I turn a corner. Can't tell where it's coming from or how it got there. Driving me crazy! Backseat floor is always wet, just when it starts to dry we get another rain and it starts all over again. Any suggestions would be very much appreciated.

Start checking the rubber weatherstrip around the doors and windows for damage. Also check to see if the weatherstrip fits tight against the door frame. Use a strip of paper to test if the weatherstrip seals against the frame. Close the door with the paper in the door jamb....if you can pull the paper out from the jamb, the door needs to be adjusted to fit tighter into the jamb.
If there is a roof mounted luggage rack... it may be leaking around the mounting points where it mounts to the roof. The water would seep in around the bases, and run down the window posts and settle in the floor. That's where you might get the running water sound. Use a small bead of rubber caulk -- "DUM-GUM" to seal around the base. You can get it at any parts store. You will also need to replace all the carpet and padding to prevent mold and mildew, now that it's gotten wet. Pull it up and let the bare floor pan dry real well, and blow the metal seams dry with compressed air. If you don't get it dry, it will rust out quickly. You may even wish to coat the floor pan with and undercoat material, once you're sure it's completely dry.

If it is getting in with out driving then it has to be a bad weather strip. The best way to find a leak is to climb inside the vehicle with a flashlight and have someone spray the vehicle with a garden hose while you observe from the inside. Pay close attention to all the window and door weatherstrip,s. And usually you will locate the source of the water intrusion this way. Good luck.

check the seal around the side windows, and the back door.
look for water lines on the plastic side pannels inside, if you can find them, trace em back to the leak.
