You have air-bags? You don't want to be replacing that switch youself, unless you are really good with cars, or you could end up blowing the air bag as well. Many mechanics won't touch it for the same reason. I ended up having mine replaced at the dealer.

You can remove it without removing the steering wheel so the airbag and clock spring will not be disturbed.
here is the procedure.
REMOVAL
1. Disconnect battery ground cable.
2. Tilt column to lowest position and remove key release lever.
3. Remove ignition switch lock cylinder.
4. Remove shroud screws and remove upper steering column shroud and lower steering column shroud.
5. Remove two self-tapping TORX screws retaining multi-function switch to steering column tube casting. Disengage multi-function switch from casting.
6. Disconnect the two electrical connectors.
INSTALLATION
1. Install two electrical connectors to full engagement.
2. Align multi-function switch mounting holes with corresponding holes in the steering column tube casting. Install two self-tapping TORX screws making sure to start the TORX screws in the previously tapped holes. Tighten to 2 - 3 Nm (18 - 26 inch lbs.) .
3. Install upper steering column shroud and lower steering column shroud with screws.
4. Install ignition switch lock cylinder.
5. Install key release lever.
6. Connect battery ground cable.
7. Check steering column tube and multi-function switch for proper operation.

Use extreme caution around the airbag,
Accidental inflation could be fatal.
