my car's fuel gauge is broken, I was told that it needed a fuel level sensor. And to have it done the fuel tank needed to be dropped out, I also heard that you can replace it by removing the back seat of the car. Can some one tell me which way is the correct way to make the repair?

OK this really is scary and a very odd problem. my brakes sometimes get very loose and have hardly any stopping power at all. When it happens, i have to push all the way down on the brake, and that barely stops my car. It feels very unsafe. It's only happened twice in about 3000 miles though. The first time it happened i had my grandfather check it out and he couldnt find a single thing. Figured it was just an air bubble. The second time it happened i stopped and went to a midas, and nothing. They couldnt find a dam thing wrong, and the problem just went away i guess. Is it possible for there to have been another air bubble? What do you guys think, ever heard of this?

BTW my car is a 89 ford escort, brand new brake linings, and no leaks in the master cylinder or brake lines.

I bought a astra 2001 x reg. When i bought it, it was really smooth! i think i might be partly to blame for this but i was parking in the drive way and the kerb was not lowered. I am now not parking in the driveway and have been to my local bp to put some pressure in the tyres. However for some reason i feel the steering is heavy and driving not smooth. Do you think there might be a problem or is it just that the tyres need changing. I have had so many problems with my previous i really don`t need anymore. Your help will be very appreciated, i am so glad that yahoo answers was invented.

Thank u x

I have a BMW 328I / 2000. The check engine light came up and the code was..."camshaft position sensor circuit malfunction" ...I've changed the sensor, but the error is not going away!
Also, the problem is when i push the gas pedal in highway it takes a long time to speed up, same problem at take off when I floor the pedal, accelerate very slow, then runs ok.
What do you think?

I just bought a brand new car and want to keep it in top shape. It's an Acura TSX so the paint quality isn't as great as I would hope (susceptible to chips). I live in an apartment building so washing it out in the drive isn't really an option. I also don't want to go through machine washes so I'll probably look for a good detailer.

Anyway, I hate coming out to my nice car and seeing leaves, pollen, etc. on it (it's White Pearl by the way). Can someone recommend an easy way to wipe this off? I'd prefer wipes but haven't really seen any good ones. Looking at Meguiar's Quik Detailer and a microfiber cloth? Any suggestions?

Also, to keep my wax looking nice between waxing I was thinking about something like Meg's Quick Wax? Is this a good one? Tips on how to apply it properly?

Any general exterior care tips are welcome! Especially anything water free!

Thanks!

Hello, I have a 96 Jetta and last night while I was about 40 miles from home it crapped out on me. I was going up a slight hill (in 4th gear) and it started sort of jerking forward and back on me, I thought mabye I was going too slow for 4th gear so I put it in 3rd, and it did the same thing. I had to pull over. I tried many times to start it, every time it idled very rough before it eventually died... What could be causing this? I tried starting it while my friends looked under the hood and they said they saw a spark, any ideas? Is this going to be very expensive to fix?? Thanks for your help.

Does anybody know where to buy them cheaper than a Vauxhall dealer?
I am not mechanically minded so I have no idea how many would be needed. Vauxhall charge £71.00 to change them. How hard is it to replace them and do I need any special tools?

My '88 buick regal has a tune up anf fuel injection cleaning last year. This year it started stalling so they replaced the idle control valve after lots of visit back and complaining. That was in february, the car at the end of June it started back up again. I took it someplace else was told the other place didn't do a tune up or used crappy parts that I needed another tune up. I had it done, car ran fine for 10 days then back to stalling. Took it someplace else again and they checked codes then reset computer, now it is idling fast and oil light came on but doesn't stay on. They think now it is the mass air flow sensor. I am getting very confused and frustrated. I need my car to drive my two girls around and it seems nobody can find the problem. Can somebody please help me and tell me if this part sounds right or could it be something else? Please help me soon.
