I just bought a brand new car and want to keep it in top shape. It's an Acura TSX so the paint quality isn't as great as I would hope (susceptible to chips). I live in an apartment building so washing it out in the drive isn't really an option. I also don't want to go through machine washes so I'll probably look for a good detailer.

Anyway, I hate coming out to my nice car and seeing leaves, pollen, etc. on it (it's White Pearl by the way). Can someone recommend an easy way to wipe this off? I'd prefer wipes but haven't really seen any good ones. Looking at Meguiar's Quik Detailer and a microfiber cloth? Any suggestions?

Also, to keep my wax looking nice between waxing I was thinking about something like Meg's Quick Wax? Is this a good one? Tips on how to apply it properly?

Any general exterior care tips are welcome! Especially anything water free!

Thanks!

I use Mequiars's quick detailer spray, because it's so accessable and really won't hurt a clearcoat. But, you can also dust it off with a specially treated car duster. I personally don't like to use dusters for fear of mico scratching. There are many quick detailers out there . It's an intermediate step between washing and waxing. But not between polish jobs. Just do a general search on "quick detailer sprays" and you might pick up on something you like. I use Mequiar's for spot cleaning of water spots and bird droppings.I too live in an apartment ,in hot hot Texas. But you must always maintain a good fairly fresh wax job on your car for quick detailers to work. Remember you don't have to do a large area, ,just enough to git rid of your soiled spots.....it's a matter of minutes. And Micro is good, but soft cotton terry is also good. I use micro for my final wipe down after a wax job and a terry for the main wax removal. Terry can take more dry wax off initially. Also check out "bettercarcare.com" for a full course on detailing. Good Luck and watch those water spots too. I have some baked into my paint that I don't think I'll ever be able to get out. Mequiar's paint cleaner was a real dud.

"The California Car Duster" Along with a heavy wax job after the paint no longer smells like emamel reducer or laquer thinner. Let those chemicals out then layer on several coats of wax then just dust off the car with the DUSTER ocasional water washes in the shade when you can. I was not impressed with Turtle wax Ice. Mequires,Zano bros. Mothers all good use a wax product that is blue in color with white finishes yellow works best on darker color cars. Quick detailer and a good old towel micro fibre still doesn't impress me that much. Oh by the way "nice car"

Congratulations on your new car purchase, my husband and I bought a 2006 Scion TC in May and we're like you, we want to keep in in tip top shape. We use microfibers cloths when we wash and dry our car, which we do by hand. And when we wax it, we use microfiber cloths and Nanowax, it is the best to use on your car. Just spray on and wipe it with the microfiber cloth. I forget the brand name of it, but its great to use and not expensive. Hope I helped you out somewhat. :-)

Use a glaze not a wax between wax jobs... the dry dusting off will cause small scratches in the paint. The glaze will help conceal those. The more glaze the deeper and richer the paint job

Waxed, because of the fact threading hurts SO undesirable and is unsanitary. i replaced into unquestionably contained in the mall as quickly as and observed a grown lady bawling whilst getting her eyebrows threaded. Waxing in hassle-free terms hurts for 2 seconds even nevertheless it stings afterwards and gets cherry pink later on, so i could carry some makeup with you.
