Recently I hear these ticking noise coming from the hood. It ticks faster when I drive fast. It ticks slower when I drive slow. It continues to tick when my car is turned off. Can anyone tell me what's that noise?

Ummm, if its still on when the car is off and you have an electric fan I would check that. How long does it go on after when the car is off? And if its a Honda from mid 90's then the electric fan tics alot when the bearings start to get old. It also could be something in the electrical system, check your plug wires and distributor (if you have one) to see if they are tight...
Its not going to be a valve if you have the car off and it makes the noise, let me know if you need more help or if you can give a better description.

Its most likely your engine. the first thing I would do is get an oil change. get the top of the line synthetic oil and see how that works. if the ticking continues you may have to rebuild the engine.

A mechanic can tell you. I was going to say lifters, which may mean you are not keeping oil in your vehicle, but I don't know if they continue any after it is turned off.

Maybe need a higher octane gas. That happened to me once. If it is still doing it when the car is off I have no clue. Sorry.

could be a loose fan. have someone look at it at a shop usually they dont charge much.

it is the lifters period ok change your oil that should help if not you will have to get them adjusted
