i usually don't fill in air in my bicycle's tyres for a month. when i see that the time comes near to refill, the tyres seem to be a bit less inflated. is it ok to do it at this interval or do i need to fill in much earlier? rather than waiting for a whole month.

It should be getting 32city/35highway. I know these are just estimates, and that the test done by the EPA doesn't accurately represent actual driving conditions. However, we've been averaging about 19mpg city. We've only driven about 170 miles since we bought the car and our tank is just under a quarter full already! This is so far under the EPA estimates that I wonder if it is cause for concern. We have a manual transmission and haven't carried any heavy loads. We've also kept AC use to a minimum. Whats going on?

What is the spot free rinse at the carwash? It seems like the spot free rinse is slow water spray that wastes time and is a rip off.

My 1975 Dodge M-500 Chassis motorhome, powered by a 440, won't start.

I already put in a new battery, and a new starter, new starter relay, and still have the same problem:

When the ignition is turned, the starter engages, and you can hear a rapid, percussive clicking, like an impact wrench type of sound, but the engine doesn't actually crank...like the starter gears aren't quite meshing with the flywheel.

One piece of info: When I put the new battery, I accidently hooked it up backwards, and saw a puff of smoke around the area of the alternator. Strangely, with the battery hooked up backwards, the engine cranked, strong! Now that the battery is connected correctly, however, I'm back to square one...just the rapid-fire clicking, no engine crank. If I shorted out the alternator, would that account for the starter problem?
Is there a way to test this?
Are there other components that likely would have been shorted out by the battery being backwards?
