Well did you use refills or replace the wipers. Sometimes the whole piece has to be replaced. The noise may be from rubbing, the size of blades may be wrong. Has your windhield been damaged, popped out? Would have to see the situation.

Try replacing the whole blade and not just the refill. If that doesnt work try using rain-x. If that doesnt work take your car to an auto detailer and have them buff your windows beacuse after a while you get alot of little scratches making your windshield dull. This should fix you up!

Either they are installed improperly, or u have the wrong wiper blades for the car. Check with a gas station that installs wiper blades, it may cost a couple of bucks but its better to have good wipers.

are you sure you got the right size? I find that my wipers make annoying noises if the window isn't wet enough, y'know if it's raining but not heavily, there isn't enough water between the blades and the window to lubricate it, so there's a scraping noise.

Wipers have to flip-flop as they go up and down. It sounds as though the "rubber" is old and hard not allowing for this action. Check to see if the rubber bends easily, if not return them and purchase another set but check the rubber on them. Sometimes they are just to old even if they are new.

Clean your windshield with a new SOS pad. Make sure there are lots of suds and it won't hurt the window.

One make sure they are on correctly, and second, don't use them on a mostly dry windshield. Other wise I'm not sure.
